I was recently in Lancaster to provide construction consultative services for a client. The client made arrangements for me to stay at Kilburnie and I could not have been happier.nnThe host is a most interesting and accommodating gentleman. The fact he went through great lengths to preserve this structure was even more appealing to me since I am involved in the decorative arts as a consultant.nnEverything about my stay was indeed first class and I will definitely be going back for a visit. Thank you for your most gracious treatment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The innkeeper is fantastic, breakfast is gourmet, and the inn is beautiful, clean, and full of history. The trails on the farm are magical, serene, and delicately covered in moss. I watched a snapping turtle swim down the creek while standing on a bridge on one of the trails. Whether you're looking for somewhere to unwind and rest or check out the local sites, you can't go wrong with this bed-and-breakfast. Some of the local attractions just a short drive away that we checked out include Waxhaw, NC, for dining and nightlife, Andrew Jackson State Park, and Fountain Park in Rock Hill, SC. I encourage you to stay here — you'll make new memories and new friends. We plan to return someday soon.

We recently visited Kilburnie a year after getting engaged there during a peaceful walk along their beautiful trails. The inn is situated in a peaceful and serene property. The inn is impeccably clean. The breakfasts are spectacular, the best either of us have ever had. The host is professional, engaging and fun to chat with. It is such a calming and peaceful getaway. We cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! We can’t wait to visit again soon!

Kilburnie is a step back in time. It is in the modern world yet its not. Everytime we visit Kilburnie its like visiting an old friend. Johannes, the innkeeper provides an amazing experience via stories, tours, and his excellent breakfast. It is obvious a lot of pride and care go into each experience. We look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I have coming here since we spent our honeymoon here 12 years ago. Its always great. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. A great change of pace. Innkeeper Johannes is the perfect host. He has decades of experience in the Hospitality industry at the highest , and most, demanding level. You need to spend some time at Kilburnie. Step away from the madness surrounding you in these times and relax. Learn about the rescue of the residence that is now Kilburnie. Be astonished by the craftmanship of the ceiling tiles in the Breakfast Room and the Parlor. Even more astonishing is the history of how those tiles came into existence! A famous local Artisan made every one of those tiles to replace the originals that had been ruined by years of neglect. You will be amazed. Places like Kilburnie are rare. You should make plans to get away soon to this hidden treasure. Whether you are near or far you should go.
