For being a year old building it has a lot of maintenance problems already. The room we stayed in on the 3rd floor had the wind blowing terrible through the unit under the window. It was as if the window was open. In the bathroom, there was water leaking out of the left hand corner onto the floor. When checking out there was water running out of one of the light fixtures in the lounging area. Look to us like maybe a broken water pipe. Not sure.nOne thing positive about the whole experience. We didn't have to stay at the pathetic LaQuinta hotel across the street.
We stayed at this hotel during a snow storm in our area. The rooms here were 30% higher priced than any other rooms in Shawnee. With that price you expect better quality. The room was small and had no perks to any other hotel around. The food they had to offer down stairs were way way way over priced. $10 for a microwavable mac and cheese??? The hotel says It offers breakfast, but we were only offered a grab bag that had a muffin in It. The manager was very rude and when talking to me had no answers to any of my questions, and had a very bad attitude when i asked to speak to someone else. Would not stay here again. Save your money & stay at any of the others hotels in the area. This one is not worth the money.
Room door wouldn't shut and latch or open unless I put my shoulder into it and the both the sink/drinking water and the shower water smells strongly of mildew no matter how long I ran it for. I felt more gross after showering than before. Staff was friendly though the check-in clerk seemed overwhelmed just trying to figure out how to charge for a snack in the lobby
The room was dirty when we checked in. The manager was very rude. The morning staff and night staff were very nice but the manager completely ruined that for them and did not back up her staff. She basically said they “just work here” they have no authority which I thought was just wrong. Would not stay here again.
I cannot say enough about this hotel and sweet Miss Annie who was running the show with what LITTLE resources she had to work with!! The hotel systems were down and there was no internet, TV, or key cards but she kept a paper copy to track reservations and had staff ready to let everyone in their room. She truly went above and beyond to help everyone during a time when much of the state is without power.
