Mountain Joy Cottages

An amazing stay with hidden beauties around every corner. Cottage 6 was clean and sperfect for what we needed. The staff was quick to answer questions and the grounds were well kept. Unfortunately the pool wasn't open yet. Close to J Creek for fishing. So pleased with this place and we will come back.

Actually not bad for a group of college friends. Maybe not the best place for family. Also the wifi was absolutely trash. TV didn't work, and phones didn't either. Had to be on data the whole time, which also didn't work sometimes because of the location.

Absolute extraordinary experience. #10 cottage is tucked away nicely from the noise and other sites. Awesome views from the back porch of the pond and wildlife. We observed Elk every evening from our back porch grazing on the multiple apple trees on site. Cabin is in great condition and the jacuzzi works great. Only complaint is the internet at #10 is virtually non-existent due to signal issues. Verizon wireless also has low/no signal there. Overall this was a great get-away and well worth the money.

This place is totally amazing. Peaceful and relaxing. Absolutely love the trout pond and feeding the ducks, watching the rabbits, squirrels and birds. Most of all seeing all the elks a few even came up close to our back deck. I can not say just how much me and my husband had enjoyed this vacation here. The cottage/cabin is so nice and relaxing in the jacuzzi while watching TV and sipping on champaign just another high light of this place. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and bed. Loved the water pressure in the shower. Beautiful scenery. Huge back deck facing the trout pond and to the right is a small water hole with a water stream. Many apple trees that the elk and ducks and squirrels loved. A deck over the pond and kept very clean. I so enjoyed walking around the pond and just taking in all the beautiful scenery here. Honestly this is the best vacation I have ever been on. I plan to come back here as often as I can. I just hope the owner comes out and takes a look at a few things other people have written reviews on. Not a big deal to me but the gutters needs to be cleaned out and right as you walk in on the outside a peace of the wood needs replacing and railing needs a little work. There is cob webs inside, again that did not bother me but maybe have the cleaner to get them down once a month. I am so grateful to the owner for this place I added some bear coasters to the living room. Just a little gift to thank you for a great vacation. I truly could never thank you enough for allowing me and my husband to stay here.

When we arrived at the location it was very nice. However, immediately upon opening the door the smell of mold and mildew was overwhelming! The six or more air fresheners they had placed in the cabin did nothing to hide it. There was mildew on the floor and on the furniture in the living room. It was awful! This was in cabin #8. We were so disappointed and ended up leaving and just coming back home.
