Really outstanding bike shop. The crew there really knows and loves bikes and can give good opinions based on bikes they actually ride and gear they actually use. They also can wrench! Every time I'm in there they're hand building a wheel set or ripping apart the guts of a shock. Find their social media sites for a bunch of fun events. Couldn't recommend this place more highly.

This is the first business that’s ever motivated me to write a review. I’ve been going to South Main Cycles for 5 years so I speak from experience when I say the people that work there are the best of the best at what they do. In 16 years of riding I’ve been in shops all over the country and this place has no equal. Whether you’re looking to buy your first bike or are hopelessly in over your head with that repair you thought you could do yourself, this is where you need to go. Every time I leave the building I’m stoked to ride and you can’t put a price tag on that.

These guys are fantastic! We bought bicycles for our 2 daughters from them and the service was great. They offer mid-range to expensive bikes but are enthusiasts themselves and will gladly explain as much or as little as you want to know. My wife and I took our bikes in to be serviced and look at helmets. The service was actually less expensive than we thought and the helmets were reasonably priced. On the ride home (about 3 miles) my wife and I both noticed how much smoother the ride was. When we dropped the bikes off, I had forgotten to put the valve stem covers back on mine. We got home and I noticed they had replaced them for me. Just great guys all around. We will definitely be back here when our son outgrows his current bike.

We are new to the area and made it a point to visit all bike shops around Charlotte. In terms of customer service and satisfaction, South Main Cycles is our new bike shop hands down.
