We had our wedding here a few weeks ago and it was absolutely wonderful. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the cabins on site are a wonderful added bonus. Megan was very responsive and friendly, answering all of our questions leading up to the event. Even when the venue flooded 2 days before our event, the owners and staff put in double time to get everything looking beautiful by our big day. It was not even noticeable that anything catastrophic had happened by the day of our wedding. The staff is very personable, flexible and accommodating to your needs. Highly recommend this venue!!

Thank you to Richard and his crew for going above and beyond so my daughter could have her wedding by the river . You all worked so hard to make it happen. After the second flood of the month, there was much cleanup that needed to be done once again. Your hard work did not go unnoticed so thank you from the bottom of my heart! As a photographer, I can say the Retreat at Hiawassee River is truly a wedding dream! It's the perfect venue for a wedding! There are beautiful cozy cabins nestled a serene getaway! Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but the staff excel in customer experience and taking care of their clients. They put so much care and time into the venue and every wedding or event that happens there. If you are searching for a venue that is a getaway with a vintage chapel and amazing staff, the Retreat at Hiawassee River is for you!

I recently attended a family wedding at The Retreat at HIawassee River. I was there on Friday to assist in last minute needs of the bride. I was impressed by many ways the venue made my cousins wedding all that she hoped for. After a down pour of rain on Friday, the venue was out raking and adding pebbles to take care of the puddles. This simple act did not go unnoticed! The venue itself is beautiful! We were able to have the ceremony outside by the river, and then move into the pavillon for food and fun. I'd def recommend this venue for others!

Very beautiful place, and I could go on all day capturing photos here. Really enjoyed the staff here as well. You don't get many venues where they take care of their vendors too :)
