From the first initial contact I had with James Dunn I felt extremely comfortable. My knowledge regarding construction, particular to roofing, was somewhat limited. My questions were all answered intelligently, courteously and with evident ability. Mr. Dunn was a roofing expert for certain but in addition I learned he was a licensed general contractor which gave me real peace of mind. In comparison to the other companies I had spoken to I knew I made the right decision. I wanted a crew that knew their business and treated it as if it were their own. This is what I received from Dunn Contracting. I was impressed that from day one a crew showed up and prepared my property to protect my home and grounds. Materials were handled professionally and properly to avoid any damage or harm to any person or property. And the crew certainly were expedient yet they took the appropriate time to assure craftsmanship and care were performed to the highest degree. The crew was very polite, courteous and cautious. The quality and appearance of my new roof definitely exceeds that of other jobs recently done by other companies in my area.nEverything was done according to contract from the initial notice of commencement right through to the final inspection. Payment was not required until my satisfaction and approval took place. This is something that impressed me very much and I can assure you I was satisfied above and beyond. Let me add that the price was very fair, while offering more than their competition. I will finish by giving applause to the expertise provided by Mr. James Dunn and his crew. Without question I would offer my highest recommendation and appreciation for a job done so well.

I've had way too many bad experiences with contractors in Florida so I was dreading having a new roof put on but we ended up having to do it before we moved.nnI contacted Dunn contracting (since they had some of the best reviews) and got a quote and scheduled a start date for the rip out and new roof installation about 2-3 weeks out.nnI was happy with their contract as everything was clearly laid out, and any extra material costs were reasonable. One of my concerns with a roofing install is ending up with a ton of miscellaneous material expenses at the end that were not actually necessary, but the contract also provided some us with some protections such as providing the homeowner with pictures of all the defective decking before it was replaced. Great for peace of mind.nnWe were not at all in contact with Dunn during that 2-3 week period so given my experience with other contractors, I expected that I would have to have to start calling them to remind them of our install date (if I'd be able to get a hold of them at all). This was where I was pleasantly surprised.nn2 days before our scheduled install date (which was on a Friday) James reached out and let me know that the materials would be delivered the following afternoon, rip out would be begin the on the scheduled day, and that the roof would be watertight for the weekend. I guess an interim inspection takes place before putting the final layers on and the last layer of the roof was installed on Monday.nnAt no point did I have to do anything in order for the roof to get done. Everything was taken care of on time, and for very competitive price. I don't know much about roofs but from what I can tell, the quality of the work was great. The installers were professional and courteous, and all the materials were cleaned up before they left.nnI highly recommend this company.

The owner of Dunn Roofing came out to give a quote to repair a leak in my roof. He asked if I wanted to join him on the roof to look it over, so I did. Once we were up there he spotted where the leak likely was coming from, and told me how to fix it myself to save me from having to pay to have the whole valley repaired. It was a popped nail so easy fix. I'd had several other roofers come out who quoted me $1200+ to replace the whole valley. Dunn did the right thing and helped me out, even though it might have cost him business. Nothing instills more trust and loyalty than giving up business to do what's right for the customer. I'll definitely call this company with any future roofing issues, as I know they'll treat me right.
