Continental Condominiums provides all the amenities that one would expect from an older well-established gulf front property.... friendly staff, nice atmosphere, clean common areas and centrally located to restaurants and entertainment options.nnEach unit is independently owned and it is up to the owner to provide updates and maintenance to their unit. The unit we stayed in is in my opinion not a true representation of the CC standard.nnMy parents and I have stayed at CC many times over the past 30 years and it has been our first choice for where to stay when making vacation plans... this year we made our reservation 6 months in advance and were looking forward to relaxing vacation what we found upon check in was very disappointing.... the unit we were given reeked of bad shrimp, sticky floors and a dirty mop smell..the appliances are old, rusted and so dirty we weren’t comfortable using them.. the decor was non existent... more garage sale left overs than beach themed.. barely any lighting, no hairdryer, a TV that while seemed state of the art didn’t provide local channels nor were we left any operating instructions for all of the pay to stream channels ( Roku/Netflix/ etc).nnManagement did refund our cleaning fee which was appreciated since we had to spend almost the same amount buying cleaning supplies just to make the room bearable.nnWill we be back ... doubtfulnnWill we ask for an updated well cared for room... definitely
