Red Roof Inn & Suites Stafford

Was very clean and did not have that funky hotel order lingering like most do. Was close to some really great food places and I was really psyched to be able to eat some hot Greek food after the long drive from North Carolina. Thank y'all for having us. will be back

Absolutely the best budget hotel there is! My husband and I stayed for 3 nights while out of town. The rooms are very comfortable and kept well cleaned. The staff was wonderful, helpful and friendly! They also have great coffee and creamers to choose from. I highly recommend staying at this location!

Very clean, updated room, comfortable bed....worth the stop. We had a long drive and needed to stop for sleep, did not disappoint. Lots nearby to eat and shop if needed.

As a former Travel Consultant, I only give this hotel 2 stars. The rooms are adequate; it was seemingly clean when we arrived but we quickly began to notice that the floors had not been cleaned properly. There were dirt and dog food on the floor around the beds. The coffee cups provided were opened and then re-wrapped. The Fridge froze our drinks and the shelving rods to the doors missing. The room itself had a urine smell on the carpet between the beds and it looked as though a dog had an accident and it was left there for a few days to dry and didn't come up completely. As for the so-called substantial breakfast I kept reading about, well, there wasn't any. Not even hot coffee in the lobby as advertised. I can understand not having cooked foods due to the COVID 19 issues, but they didn't even provide boxed cereals or wrapped pastries. They just decided not to serve anything and never said a word to us when we booked the room. We used the side entrance for our dog to come in and out and even though they supplied waste bags for the dogs, no one bothered to use them so there were feces all on the ground next to the building. I will say this, the staff was nice. They supplied fresh toilet paper each day and offered to clean the room (which we decline for our privacy.) I will say this in their favor as well. They do allow your pets to stay in the room with you for free. This isn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I have seen worse. But they could make a better effort to keep the grounds cleaners, the rooms cleaner on the check-in and supply some sort of coffee and breakfast as they advertise.) I booked a discounted room rate for AARP so I imagine I got one of the older rooms that weren't all that comfortable. The mattresses were as hard as a board. My back was killing me after sleeping on them for 3 nights. I hope they work on these issues and try to do better because there are 4 hotels right beside of them that are far better in comfort and competitively priced. My next trip to Stafford Va I plan on staying at the Best Western. The rooms are far more superior as is the service, and it only costs a few extra dollars for a much nicer room. The pictures and information provided about this hotel are deceiving.

Room smell and room service are 3- star but the breakfast and service are 5- star.nnI think it all averages out to 4.nnPet friendly shouldn't mean pet stinky.nGetting a late checkout should mean the cleaning crew doesn't demand you leave at 1105 (noon is late checkout).nWaffles and fruit were amazing.nThe front receptionist was super friendly
