was able to get in after trying EVERY. SINGLE. HOTEL. in a 100 mile radius of where I ended up driving to on a roadtrip. the owner was very helpful and pleasant (even more than staff I have dealt with at 5 star hotels) room was very clean and environment was peaceful suprisingly (for a busy weekend by mt rushmore.) I would go back
If you like boutique lodging, the townhouse is great value. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. We always try to stay at small, local places. It was nice to be within walking distance to restaurants and ice cream. This is a nice motel downtown and we enjoyed our 2 nights there
It's a cute little place but the beds were SMALL. I'm 5'5 and my feet were hanging off the edge, and it felt like I slept on plywood all night. Did not get any sleep at all. Then the office was not open at all, because I wanted to let them know about the elephant walking above us. Which, if I had known we could bring pets I would have brought my giraffe... And it says you get breakfast, but that's a lie considering the office is never open. We were up at 7:30 and it was supposed to be open by 6:30. Not sure who runs up but a course in business management would not hurt.
Great location in downtown Rapid City! Walking distance to restaurants! Rooms are comfortable, but pretty dated. Stay here for the location, not necessarily for the rooms.
Still the most pleasant hotel to stay at in rapid city!!!
