Silcox Hut

It was a short visit on the bob cat ride but Steve made every moment delightful with his hospitality, stories, fun facts and history. It is beautiful and so warm, maybe we can rent it out one day with other friends.

I hiked from the Timberline Lodge parking lot up to the hut (a lodge closer to the peak built in 1939). It was a tough climb but worth the view at the top for both Mt Hoods peak up closer and the surrounding mountain range. Make sure you stop every once and a while to catch your breath and also- the view behind you.

Amazing location right on the side of Mt Hood. Where else can you literally step out your door and onto the slopes, then ski/snowboard down to the iconic Timberline Lodge? Get a group of family friends together and do it, you won't regret it.

Crazy beautiful wedding up here! Honestly one of the most unique venues, the food was amazing, the views were amazing, the history was amazing, the bunk rooms were really cool! All in all, quite a memorable experience
