We had a great hike along the shore trail. Lots of views of the lake. Spots to spend the day. It was pretty busy on the warm summer day we were there. So we had to walk a ways to get a place to chill out and enjoy the water.nWorth the drive. Be prepared to walk.

Lost Lake is a beautiful campground! Everything is well maintained and the camp sites feel nestled and cozy. Occasionally there is a burn ban and does not allow for fires- this does not in any way take away from the experience of Lost Lake. This is by far one of the best spots to camp whether it’s just you or your whole family.nThere is no shortage of things to do here- rental rates for boats, canoes, and kayaks are all perfectly reasonable and getting out on the lake is a must. The views from on the lake are iconic of the Pacific Northwest.nThis place is constantly booked for a reason. Plan ahead and you will not regret coming to this gem in the Mt.Hood National Forest.

So many things to do at lost lake! Tons of fun for the whole family! Spent the weekend out on the water with my boyfriend and hiked the perimeter of the lake! Was such an unforgettable experience and I can't wait to come back!nnUPDATEnI came back to lost lake and stayed in Cabin 4 Oct 4-6. So much better staying during the weekday, a lot less busy and easier to get the rental we wanted. Rented a canoe and paddled around the lake and even rode the canoe to shore and stopped a few times to explore. Such a beautiful place to visit, I can see this becoming a tradition with my family. Can't wait to come back again!!

Overall, wonderful place to visit and if you get a chance, stay a couple of nights. We rented a yurt for the weekend. It was very roomy and comfortable. We're planning to come back next year with the in-laws. They'll love it.

Lost Lake is a gem. So incredibly beautiful. We stayed in yurts, which are adequate. The mats on the beds are uncomfortable, but not a problem if you bring sleeping mats. The only real negative, and it is a big one, is the state of the bathrooms/pit toilets. They smell terrible, and are not cleaned often enough. Please Lost Lake, take care of this situation. Your yurts are expensive. The toilets are unacceptable.
