Idle Hour Lodge

Clean, quiet, lots of wildlife at your doorstep (literally) and next to the main drag. First morning there was an elk at our deck, and fed a deer for about 30 minutes. definitely check this place out if you like privacy and distance between cabins! It was clean and the owners were awesome!

Absolutely amazing time! Fun cozy furnished cabins right in town with a grocery store 1 block away with everything you need to stock up. Also has a great automotive place a block away if you need sleds or chains to go up the mountain. Lodge owners are amazing people have great advice about Winter Park and Ski Apache. and attentive to all your needs. Our cabin had 2 beds and two sleeper sofas which was perfect for our group. Also had a full kitchen and fireplace. Definitely would recommend to anyone and we will be back.

Cons: WiFi doesn’t really work at all. Bedrooms are very small. Shower only in bathroom. We enjoyed it but we were really counting on WiFi in the cabin this weekend.nPros: Great location. The grounds are picturesque, relaxing and cute. Friendly people.

Just what our weary spirits needed. Cozy, warm and inviting best describe our little retreat for the weekend. Would jump at the chance to do it again. The owners of the lodge were so helpful and made our stay special.
