I have been renting from this company since late 2018. Throughout that time and two separate apartments, I have seen numerous safety issues, lack of upkeep, lack of respect for tenant privacy, and I've been harassed on numerous occasions. The landlord is invasive and does not give proper notification to the tenant for any visits. Electrical issues are plentiful; the apartment building I live in right now specifically is a sectioned off house with three tenants attached to one breaker. Temperature often drops to or below 60 degrees in the winter. The landlord and management offer no urgency to fix any issues reported to maintenance. Finally, there is no fire exit. The only functional window is right next to the door, serving no purpose as an escape route. By far one of the worst companies to rent from based on my experiences throughout both apartments. Not worth your time.
Invasive landlord with poorly maintained properties. My apartment had several safety concerns such as exposed wires and water pipes, frequent rodent/pest problems, and the landlord constantly blamed us for his faulty breakers going out. There was no ventilation so we had to shower with the bathroom door open. It took maintenance over 2 months to repair our broken stove, and our burner was replaced with an old, rusty one. In the winter, the building would get down to 59 degrees sometimes and we had to insulate our apartment ourselves because the landlord would not turn the heat on to and appropriate temperature. The landlord will stick his nose into your business any chance he gets. My time living there was hell. Don't let the cheap apartment prices entice you. If you have any respect for yourself or your living space, do NOT rent from Frank Kirby and his company!
NEVER rent from this man, EVER. Rude people. Disgusting property. Safety hazards. Lack of upkeep. Lack of respect for privacy. Slum lord!
The apartments are nice, some have their issues, but the staff is my biggest issue. After calling them back and forth for the better side of a month, applying, and so forth, they tell us that for our one-bedroom, BOTH TENANTS need co-signers. We do so, fill their applications out, ave submit them.nnWith 4 people signed onto a lease for a ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT we were still denied.
