This website was ok. On my phone it was hard to navigate however, it kept having issues loading however that may have just been my phone itself. I was looking for houses in decent areas at decent prices. However with how the market is right now I dont see that happening. Everyone getting their stimulus checks and just the market in general both are things that hinder people. But like I said probably a life issue and not an issue with the website itself. But overall it was an ok time using the site.
They are no longer the owners of my complex, but they were still very nice and extremely helpful to me. Even went out of the way to find the phone number of the new manager and called me back to let me know.
ALBANY COMMONS AND THE GLEN AT ROCKY FORKnSince I wasn’t warned I’ll warn everyone:n-Several break ins - there’s a reason why you have a preinstalled security system in your home.nBe prepared to add the security system into your budget - you’ll need it!!nTook them 3 weeks to fix our window that got broken during a break in.n-They advertise and will tell you it’s a smoke free community - it’s NOT.nWhen your children have health issues because of it and have 2 doctors notes they refuse to do anything.nThey won’t switch your unit out of respect.nThey will ask you to pay $4,000+ to either switch units or break lease.n-The new manager Ashley has an attitude problem and is no help.n-You will also have to call *67 to get them to answer. They won’t respond to emails and won’t answer calls once they see your name pop up on caller ID.n-The only good thing about this community is the part time guy named Ray!
Let's start with the move in which went fine and now with everything else, AEP had a transformer that blew once a week and seems as though they allowed Section 8 renters in their properties because everyone had 3 to 4 cars with junk cars parked on the street. The kids were unbearable at times and Reynoldsburg Police never patrolled the area, call them and they will show up and since everyone was under 40 yrs old who lived over there nobody slowed down driving through the area. The carpet was installed when we moved in so they say but carpet installers never stretched the carpet when they installed it so it buckled and that is what happens when you don't have a skilled maintenance staff that knows how to install carpet or management staff that knows how to inspect carpet after it has been installed. Overall look elsewhere for a place to live because your rent will continued rise so for the money anyone can do better than Oakwood management company.
My experience with Ravines at Westar started off well, but it ended poorly. The unit I rented itself was clean, had adequate space, and had tasteful finishes. Any time we had maintenance challenges, they were efficient and took care of our issues quickly.nnUnfortunately, with COVID-19, I had a transition in work and had to break lease. I knew going into the process that it was going to be expensive, and I knew I had to accept the consequences of breaking lease per me signing the lease 8 months earlier.nnThis is where the incompetency of the Ravines at Westar staff as well as Oakwood Management's corporate staff began. I attempted to have my unit be rented out in order that I would not have to conduct the buy-out option. Unfortunately, it became too expensive paying two rents, and I decided to break lease. After breaking lease, handing them a check for over $3,300, and thinking the process was done, I was wrong. I technically was still the tenant through the end of the month, and out of curiosity I went to their website a couple hours after giving my keys to them and noticed that my apartment was rented. I was confused. If my apartment was rented, why did I just sign the breaking lease papers and hand them that check? Noticing my apartment was rented, I called the property manager and inquired if my apartment was rented. It turned out, it had rented TWO days earlier!nnAfter talking to the property manager and her supervisor at corporate, they demonstrated no care/concern in fixing their mistakes. There was no apology. There was no initiative from them in attempting to make things right. My greatest frustration with them that leads me to believe they are incapable of running such a large property (or management company as a whole) is their inability to be detail orientated, their pleasure in being lazy, their negligence in taking initiative to care for their tenants, their abysmal communication, their staff’s incompetence to fulfill their responsibilities, and ultimately the staff’s immoral, corrupt attitude in swindling over $3,300 from someone who was transitioning jobs during an economic fallout. Why is this so repulsive? Because it was the staff’s responsibility to inform me that my apartment had been rented two days earlier. It was the staff’s responsibility to communicate with me that I did not have to conduct the buy-out option. It was the staff’s responsibility to have any sense of integrity and ensure that one of their tenants did not pay over $3,300 in light of their incompetency.nnIt truly was a horrendous experience, and I highly recommend no one to rent from any property owned and operated by Oakwood Management.nn(name of reviewer changed for privacy)
