Plum Point Lodge

Food is excellent. Setting is terrific. Safe, outdoor dining spaced properly. Beautiful views and great food. Cocktails and wine selections are also excellent. We have stayed in a hurt and it's very nicely appointed. A little warm in the heat of summer.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Terrific setting and clean, comfortable, nicely updated rooms. Looks like it would be a terrific venue for wedding parties right on the lake. Staff is super friendly and had great recommendations for local activities (kayaking, biking on Outlet Trail, and Spotted Duck Creamery!) be aware that the WiFi is not the best but otherwise frustration free. Stay on premises and enjoy the food- it’s amazing!

My boyfriend and I are already planning to come back in the fall.nThe Plum Point Lodge is absolutely charming and the fawn and firefly sightings only made it more so.nWe stayed in one of the yurts. It was fairly cool and and very comfy, (mind you it was 95° when we stayed). The yurt was spacious and cozy and the pictures here do not do it justice.nThe view of the water is great, and each morning we enjoyed our morning coffee on the water and it was a quick and easy drive to Watkins Glen State Park for a hike. Having access to the pool was a huge plus, considering the heat.nThe on-site restaurant was perfection, our dinner was delightful and our waitress was wonderful.nWe will happily come back again and will definitely refer our friends who are looking to get away for the weekend.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with my experience here. We booked two nights in a yurt and when we arrived everything looked great! However, the yurts are not equipped with heat and the temperature outside was in the 20s. The hotel staff called me a week in advance and told me there would be a space heater provided as it would be very cold the nights were planning to stay. Technically, they did provide one, but it didn’t work. It was so cold my partner and I could not sleep, even with 5-6 layers of clothing on, and ended up leaving at 4am to go back home (a 4.5 driving distance away) because we couldn’t take it. I would have called the front desk to ask for a heater, however, when they called a week in advance to provide details about our booking they made it clear that we were the only guest checking in that night and because of this, they would not have any staff on the property. They told us not to call for anything until Friday afternoon. So I called Friday afternoon to ask for a credit/refund for our second night’s stay since we left early and they refused saying I should have called earlier in the day so they could try and rebook the yurt. How was I supposed to call earlier in the day when there was no staff on the property and I was instructed to not call until Friday afternoon? The receptionist I spoke to was very rude and rushed me off the phone when I tried to explain the situation. It seems like this place only cares about the money they can get out of their patrons and not much else. I am very disappointed and will not recommend this place to anyone in the future.

Fantastic place...right on the lake! The breakfast was not the best, but staying there was great! The front desk help was awesome...I forget the guys name but he went above and beyond for us and our child! He was extremely helpful! And the room was awesome...pretty modern type place. It was smaller but it was perfect for my wife and I and our 1 year old!
