The Hedges was absolutely beautiful in every way. Loved how bright, charming, and clean the suite was, and there were lovely common spaces for my family to sit together inside and out in the garden. Hospitality was so warm, and Barbara was happy to help us learn about the Hamilton area and answer any questions we had. She's a great and healthy cook too, and we enjoyed some steel cut oatmeal, eggs, coffee, and a newspaper. Will definitely go back again!!

Had a wonderful experience at The Hedges. The location, hospitality, cleanliness, and overall ambience added to a memorable weekend. It was just the right amount of privacy with the comforts of home and then some! The breakfasts were delicious- including the coffee. We will stay there again.

The Hedges will inspire you to break out all of those great literary works you've been meaning to read since your Literature class in college. Each room is themed, completely unique and full of antique yet fully functional furniture. There is also an array of fun decorations and artwork to look at; somehow, it all seamless integrates and it's free of that chochki feeling you get with most houses full of things. Perhaps because it's also incredibly clean- no dust on ANYthing.nnOh and the breakfast??? Complete on beautiful dishware? Wow. We will be back for a weekend book club retreat.

This was a disappointing experience in an over-priced room. The host certainly seemed more concerned with her carpets and chandeliers than in making my sister and I feel at home. I stayed here at the end of a 2-month cross-country cycling trip. This was the most expensive, least hospitable place I stayed between Oregon and NYC. I wouldn't recommend it.

The innkeeper, Ms. Meelan, is the best! The breakfasts are fantastic and bountiful.nThe location, across from the Cidermill and right in downtown Clinton, is ideal.nWe have stayed there over a 7 year time period and are always disappointed if we have to stay elsewhere due to the inn being fully booked.
