Howard Johnson Inn Yankee Stadium

Loved it. Not five stars because the room keys never work. Wonderful location, best part of nyc. Nice service, very friendly for NYC. Love the whole thing

It is a good hotel, it was clean and safe (right next to a police station ) the price was good too. Close to Hwy exit and just 6 miles from the Yankee Stadium. We had a good time.

Switched room THREE different times before finding a new place to sleep. All the rooms I saw were very dirty and had the worst odor. All the carpets had gum and other things embedded within. Bedsheets were obviously not cleaned due to the hair and dirt underneath the comforter. If you're looking for a one night place, it would be better to sleep in your car then in one of their beds.

After all... it is the HoJo, in the Bronx. I have been in N.Y. for what seems like forever finishing Yankee Stadium. I have stayed in 8 or 10 different hotels. This hotel is my favorite for the money. Clean, friendly, and close to work. The comments about the neighborhood are only true for people from small town america. If you want to see bad... Try the HoJo on Boston Rd... That makes this hotel look like the Ritz. Seriously though. This is a great place. Keep in mind... My company pays for my hotel no matter where I stay, and I stay here.
