Rite Aid

Staff is very helpful and polite. Cashier #48243432 is the best. She deserves a promotion.

I went in to make a return through Amazon lockers. I initially was supposed to go to another location because I wasn't aware this location was closer to me, until I became aware. I'm new to the locker thing and I thought I could just go to this one and use the code, turns out you can't. When I got to this rite aid, one of the employees kept hovering over me as if I was a shoplifter. He was on the phone no less cursing and saying the n word this and the n word that to what appeared to be a female. So in my attempt to change the return to this location I hovered about the store for maybe 5 to 10 minutes in the immediate area of the lockers. Since I couldn't change the location of the drop and I needed to print out new documents, I had to leave the store. But that man made me very uncomfortable, having worked retail I can understand his point of view, but as a customer (I planned on buying some things after the failed deposit but didn't when I was followed by staff) I felt very uncomfortable and discriminated against. I doubt I'll ever shop at this rite aid again and will keep a look out at any other rite aids to avoid. I've worked at Duane reade and I know the procedures for handling potential shoplifters, this wasn't it. Its a rough neighborhood I get it, but it still didn't take away how I was made to feel while shopping.

Prefect except for the line but people know the best places always have a line. Also helpful employees respectful very clean store.

I was physically and verbally attacked today by the manager and two female workers. I have been shopping at this rite aid for 6 years, a consistent customer. Today I went in to make a purchase, while checking out I lowered my mask to speak to the cashier. The two female coworkers were off the clock and was playing around the manager who was on the clock. The manager asked them “where are your masks” they responded “we off the clock” and then put at me saying “his masks is not up”. The manager then replied “dont worry about him, he already has covid”. Appalled by his statement and the coworkers including me in their convo I asked them to not mentioned to me in your conversation. I then respond to the manager and ask if this is how he deal with customers and “do not diagnose with covid because you are not in the medical field”. The two off the clock female got an attitude and said “well we said what we said, and we can talk to customer how we want we off the clock.” Then an argument started, she went on her phone and started calling “her bros and said meet me off side Im off the clock”. The argument escalated and the manager ran from behind the counter and physically attacked me. I called the NYPD and my attorney from The Bronx Defenders because I am going to file a lawsuit. This is unprofessional and discriminatory!! I did not feel appreciated as a customer who has been support this business for 6 years.
