Courtyard by Marriott Minneapolis Downtown

I was told once I got there they charge a deposit of 75 dollars for every day I stayed total of two day . They end up charge me a pet charge even though they knew about the pets.they waited until a day later that to force me to sign contract in lobby .they kept my money and everything and on top of that the room was not clean or anything I have pictures and with corona going on you think they would learn to clean and advise people what they are being charged for upon check in.here’s a picture of a bar tab from some one else staying before us but they said they deep clean.

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for two nights. I and my sister were walking in the lobby on our way up to the room around 10:30-11pm on 4/3.nnMy sister and I both had glass water bottles and she dropped hers accidentally and it shattered. I and my sister spent the next twenty minutes picking up glass shards and trying to clean up the mess.nnThere was a desk attendant that was present, but he did nothing to try and help and my sister had to literally ask him for trashcan so that we could dispose of the glass shards. We then had to ask where we could get napkins or paper towels to clean the water. While we were cleaning, another individual that was hotel staff appeared at the desk and said nothing nor offered any help.nnIn addition to this fiasco, when I checked in I was specifically asked if I would like my room cleaned. I said yes. My sister and I returned to our room for about 30 minutes during the morning of 4/3 and saw that the cleaning cart had not reached our room. The maid saw us come and leave and our room was not cleaned nor were our linens and towels replaced.nnBecause of this following the glass breaking and us cleaning it up in the lobby we had to call the receptionist to request towels. This took 2+ attempts and when I finally did reach someone at the front desk to ask for towels and a bottle opener for our san Pellegrino, I was questioned as to why I needed the bottle opener and then the staff person begrudgingly agreed to bring towels.nnWhen the towels finally arrived the staff person did not greet me but instead said: I had to borrow this bottle opener from the bar so don't lose it. Rather than deal with the possibility of that situation I asked if he could wait and I would open it and give it right back to him so there would be no further issues. He was at the room for a total of three minutes tops, when I walked back to return the bottle opener to him he brusquely walked away without saying anything.nnThis was the WORST possible hotel experience and customer service experience I have ever had. I will be returning to Minneapolis in a couple of weeks, but I certainly will not be staying at this property ever again.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Only a credit is available for breakfast and nothing hot is offered. No other food options. Parking was included but was cumbersome and the method did not work very well.
