John was a great host. The food he packed for us to take out for our 4 night trip was really good.
We had a great time on the 4 night lodge package. Fishing was excellent, food was delicious, and the staff is extremely accommodating and knowledgeable. Thanks John, John, and Peter - we will be back.
Booked 6 guided days on an island in Basswood Lake, Quetico, Canada, June 16-21, 2014. John Herrick hosted me for dinner and a night in the lodge going in and dinner and a night + breakfast going out. Great host - ask him to play the harmonica for you. Excellent accommodations. Fishing was excellent with guide - averaged 30 large smallmouth bass a day - knowledgeable, helpful and an excellent camp cook.This was my third time at Moose Bay, once to day trip from the lodge, and each stay was fine in all respects. Highly recommended.
