We had the most wonderful time at the Homestead! We are planning our wedding and with the help of Sandy and Tony it was an amazing experience!! She gave us a grand tour that was phenomenal and we fell in love with Firefly as the perfect location for our wedding!! After wedding planning, we had lunch at Whiskers by the fire and it was perfect!

The Homestead is such a beautiful venue, and a perfect place if you have many out of town guests. Everything is right on-site, making for an awesome weekend getaway with a wedding. So many of our friends and family complimented the facilities. Additionally, we were quite impressed with the support we received from the staff (particularly Sandy and Tony) in planning around COVID-19. And on the day of the wedding, Antonella and Liz were incredibly accommodating and helpful, even with tasks that weren't normally part of their jobs - Antonella even helped my wife when there was a struggle to bustle her dress! Overall, we're pleased with our choice to have our wedding at The Homestead. Everything turned out great!

We love the Homestead! Some of the most gorgeous views in Michigan from the top of the ski hill, which you can hike in summer.

This was much needed change of scenery. We knew that we wanted to stay in the Glen Arbor area andnsomeone has suggested The Homestead. We reserved a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. When we checked in, we found that our room was in fact a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom handicapped suite...with totally exposed plumbing under all 3 sinks in the room...to allow wheelchair access. The towel bar in the second bathroom was pulling out of the wall, the breaker box was exposed, there was no coffee table in the living room (we moved a bench from the entry hall) and there was not a single picture or any type of decoration on any wall. The accessibility was great, but we hadn't requested it and had no need for it...it was just given to us. The was also so much trash off our balcony (wine bottles, beer bottles, etc.) No excuse for it. Not an inexpensive room, either. Have made the hotel aware of our displeasure, but haven't heard back from them. Even the accomodations couldn'tndetract from the beauty of northern Michigan in the fall, on what may have been the peak week of the season.
