Not too bad for a Super 8. Was only her to sleep for a handful of hours and served it's purpose well. Checked in late and out early. Room was clean. Fast check in. Courteous front desk person. Quiet hallways. Coffee was good. Smoke free room kinda had a hint of smoke. They do have smoking rooms so hallway smelled of light smoke. I'd say here again if I need a place to rest my head for a few hours.
Owners are unreasonable and do not have any experience in hospitality. The hotel smells worse than a casino with dingy and smoky rooms and hallways. Even for a super 8 it is extremely sub par. If you’re considering a stay at a super 8 you likely have a sense of what to expect. Although you are not expecting much, this particular hotel is far worse than you can imagine. Couldn’t recommend this hotel even if it was the last place available within 100 miles. It is worth your time and money to go ANYWHERE else.
The clerk at check-in was very nice and went to some extra effort to ensure that I received the AARP discount. The room was very clean and had all the items advertised. The WIFI worked well. The hallways, elevator, etc. were also very clean. The items available for breakfast were limited, but enough for me, and the coffee was fresh and good. Overall, this was a no-problem overnight stay at a moderate price, which is exactly what I wanted.
This isn't just another Super 8 in a random area of town -- it's a cared for hotel with wonderful owners who love taking care of their guests. I stayed here with about 20 other people for a film shoot and BJ and Rita took care of us from the very beginning. The check-in was seamless and the cleaning service was exceptional. They were always there for us with every need, and we had plenty of them, at various times of the day / night. They even made us Iced Coffee and Potato Balls when we celebrated a birthday in the hotel. We most likely won't be back in Washington, IL anytime soon, but we'll always remember this cute hotel owned by the best couple. Thank you for everything guys!
I have work in the area periodically and this is the best place to stay. They hit everything right. The room is clean, proper amount of towels, soap, shampoo... very comfortable. ,The people are friendly and accommodating you won't go wrong at this place!
