Bartell Drugs

I LOVE this store. I go almost daily for all kinds of things. It is an obvious place to find makeup a really extensive amount of skin/hair care and other sundries. Bartell's however, is also the place I go to first when I am looking for a cool local gift to bring someone visiting from out of town. They have lots of cool things in here you won't find anywhere else... high-quality gag socks and gifts, cool toys, great Washington State and City of Seattle items you couldn't find anywhere but the wharf downtown. I also love their shopping bags with uniquely Washington and Seattle photos.nnHowever, the best thing about this Bartell Drugs is the people that work here. The people that work here really act like they appreciate your business! They remember locals' names and smile each time they see you come in. It is more than good customer service-they really feel like friends! My favorites include PAIGE, and new employees April And Darren who are always so kind and sweet. I also appreciate the service I get from Trong, Ray, and the Asian-American counterperson (female) who works in the Pharmacy. Because of Ray's painless shots, and the personal touch they always put into my service, I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my prescriptions filled. I have been to seven or eight other Bartell Drug stores in greater Seattle, and none of them compare to the staff at Kingsgate.nnHonorable mention would go to the foreign cashier that works at Bartel's on 70th St. She is also nice and always cheery.

Worst pharmacy I've ever had to work with. The staff is willfully incompetent. Even when I give multiple days notice for a refill, then call day of and the pharmacist assures me the prescription is ready, I'll show up to find they haven't even looked at the prescription yet and have questions for the doctor. Or won't have ordered the medicine and have none in stock despite calling me to tell me the prescription is ready to pick up. The pharmacist orders the wrong quantity of medication every time and so I end up paying more and with partial refills that they change their mind every time I go in on if they can fill it or not.nnAdditionally, the store is dirty and poorly restocked.nnNever go here. It is worth anything you can do to avoid this store. Bartels should be ashamed to keep this location open.

The store has a good selection of products, but a few of the checkers have been consistently rude every time I shop. My family and I live near by, and the staff’s attitude has become a near comical point of conversation. We still shop there for convenience, but I would warn any shoppers not to expect kind treatment.

The pharmacy there is ridiculous. Problem is it's not all the workers (the manager rich is awesome) but other members make me very upset. I just asked about the PRICE of a blood meter device out of pocket cost and they refused to answer the question and kept beating around the bush on excuses to answer my question. I called another pharmacy and guess what...my question was answered easily. Really? I recommend don't use this place unless you want drama.

I attempted to make a return within an hour of purchase. The manager immediately accused me of stealing the item! I could not believe my ears really. I'm a 53 year old local business owner myself and this was pretty much the most unpleasant customer service experience ever. After I insisted he checks y credit card he found the purchase. Put on a stupid smile and said keep your receipt next time.nnHave not been back since.
