First the good... Just steps away from beautiful beaches, nicely furnished rooms, small versatile kitchen, and in-room washer/dryers.nnSadly, all of the positive aspects were ruined by the construction noise. Specifically, jackhammering just outside of my toddlers room. When I asked the resort why we were not notified about the construction I received the following text, “There should have been a letter in the welcome packet you received at check in.nKiaundra - Front Office Supervisor”.nnPlease learn from our mistake and ask about ongoing construction prior to booking or simply stay elsewhere as this resort doesn’t live up to Hyatt standards.nnI’ll update my review if Hyatt responds to my emails.
Spectacular staff.
A very nice resort. Nearly all of the restaurants were closed. We almost stayed here, but glad we stayed closer to town where there were more options. The amenities looked great. We walked through to see if we'd consider staying here in the future. We're assuming that these closed places are seasonal, so we would probably stay here if we come through again. The beaches were very nice and the ambiance was peaceful.
Music excellent today
Very lovely place, friendly people. The fact that we can park our cars and not get in them again until we leave because the island has everything we need is our biggest attraction. My only concern, and it's a big irritation for me: the website is infuriating. It is unclear and basically takes you in circles- (I am quite computer literate). Should you have to make a change to your reservation or simply prefer talking to them over wading through the maddening site, you stay in hold for the reservation department for a very long time, then are directed to their voice-mail where you leave a message to be returned hours later, and what you wanted to change to has been sold out by the callers while you were waiting for your call back (even when guest services confirmed it was available at the time you called)!! This happened to me today. Everytime I go to their website I get so upset, that coupled with the higher cost of the island I usually choose somewhere else.
