I stayed here years ago, when the little Asian lady ran it, and she was super nice. However, since then, the new management gouges people on their weekly and nightly rates, when other locations throughout four states don’t charge nearly as much for the same franchise. The woman who runs this location wanted $520 for a week, and when I called another location for the same franchise, they told me it would cost $295 for two beds/two people (and it was in a large city). I plan on letting corporate know, because this chain prides itself on being affordable, when this location doesn’t uphold that. What a shame.
The staff were attentive and tried hard to accommodate any request. Had to stay due to extreme icy weather. Room was warm and clean. Linens were fresh and crisp. Quiet time was observed after 10pm and morning staff were friendly and polite.
Working on contacting priceline right now to see if I can change hotels or refund money today. When I booked the hotel room so my daughter could come spend time between me and her family here I was NOT told the charge a $50 deposit. Staff was rude, went to my room the peephole was lose in the door and my door key didn't work that I just got from the front desk.
The place was filthy. The towels were stained. The bathroom was dirty. We didn't even stay overnight, even though it was non refundable. We just left and cut our losses. Pay a little more and stay somewhere clean.
Nice place. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Good location between the event center expo and the University
