House itself is nice. Great views of both the ocean and the sound. However, these views can only be enjoyed through caked on layers of bugs on the windows. After multiple calls, management did send Land and Sea (5 stars) to clean up the numerous (!) cobwebs and caked on insects on the decks, railings and pool furniture, though the ceilings overhead on the decks, windows, etc. are still covered. Land and Sea indicated that they had never seen an outdoor area so poorly maintained and with such a poorly managed bug problem outdoors. If you own this house, please sign up for the weekly power wash service that we saw cleaning your your next door neighbors’ houses, whose exteriors have the level of cleanliness that one would expect. These pictures don’t really do the problem justice.
The inside of this house was ok...however the maintenance on the balconies and pool area was appalling. Dead bugs, spider webs and grime was caked on all outdoor decks, chairs and railings. It was disgusting. So bad that we were unable to use any of the outdoor space accept the areas we cleaned ourselves. Neither the owners or the management company would do anything about the mess even after multiple phone calls to complain. Do not rent this house or any other house from Brindley Beach rentals in OBX.
