The heat did not work on the bottom level. There was a small heater beside the bathroom that resembled a fireplace, but it only threw out heat for 30 seconds. The heater outside on the deck wouldn't ignite. We believe the gas wasn't on even though we turned it on using the gas valve. It didn't appear to be cleaned very well. My friend cleaned the bathroom on the bottom floor. The wipes were black once she was done. We found roaches in the living room and in the kitchen sink once we got up Saturday morning. These were not the big water bugs, but the small brown roaches. Despite the above, the bunk beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and seasonings. We made the best out of our stay.
A lovely little place nestled away along a beautiful ridge, the perfect place to stay and get away from it all! Highly recommended!
The house is a nice place, and would have been more like a 4 star review if it weren't for the following..nnThere is a large yellow jacket nest in or very close to the house. The first night there we found close to 50 yellow jackets on the floor. Most were halfway alive, and were still able to sting if you happen to step on one (which we did). The second and third night were new yellow jackets on the floor and walls. They were mostly around the game room and leading up the stairs from the game room and also in the bottom level bedroom.
Loved it. I just wish they cleared out some trees to get a better view
