After many years of having really unpleasant experiences with other local pharmacies, we switched to Safeway approximately 5-6 years ago and have had a really good experience with them ever since. We have found the pharmacists to be very caring and helpful. For instance, mostly recently, I needed to have a flu shot, but I am in-between back surgeries and so it is very hard for me to get around. One of the pharmacists told my wife that she would bring her flu shot kit with her down to our car in the garage to deliver the shot on our way back home from a visit with my neurosurgeon. This was soooooo helpful and kind of her to do for me.

The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. Refills are easy and I’m notified via text when my prescriptions are ready. Easily switched from the Giant Pharmacy.

Staff unprofessional. This was my first and last experience going to Safeway pharmacy. I go to Safeway because it is a one minute walk from where I am and the store is great but the pharmacy is not. When the pharmacist could not find my pills in stock she transferred my meds to another Safeway pharmacy that was 30 mins away, instead of calling the CVS nearby. She said that she didn't like to deal w/ CVs and didn't want to waste her time on a call. So the solution was to waste my time on a 30 min drive to a further Safeway location in the middle of a flash flood. Adding insult to injury the other Safeway had a glitch in the system and could not take my insurance because the meds I get are free w/ insurance. So it was all for nothing.

I switched from CVS. Safeway pharmacists are friendly, quick to help and accommodating. I kick myself for not switching sooner. Recently I had a pain med filled right after a tooth extraction and they rushed to get it filled for me so I wouldn't be in to much pain. If I could remember their names is gone them a shour out her to, but impending pain kept me from thinking about it. THANK YOU!
