Made reservations for a week. Arrived couple hours early. NO ONE , to answer phone. Office a junked up storage room. HOARDER , would be the best explanation. Pool ? Yep, full of algae. Been here for 5 days and STILL no return call. This place should not even be on a stay list. With a MINUS ONE rating.nRun !!!!
Been coming here for over 30 years. Great family hotel and easy access to the beach. It’s by no means is anything fancy, it is more of a fishing camp atmosphere on a wonderful little island. Don’t go here with the idea of Florida, you will be highly disappointed. It is our family of 7 favorite peaceful little vacation spot.
Had A Great Time
We pull up and theres nothing but junk everywhere, then you have to stand at a window to check in, and the guy will inform you of his problems with the government, electricity bill, etc. Not professional at all, my Daughter In Law said he was actually yelling at her, she was getting scared when I walked up. The room was clean, the air filter was filthy so it was a lil. warm. It was not worth $220.00 a night. We will not stay here again!
The Tropical Motel is the best motEl to stay in grand isle. It's perfectly located with the best beach access point on the island. I also noticed it is the only motel on the island with a pool. They have a fish cleaning station with propane provided free with the room. After staying at other motels located in grand isle the tropical is easily my first choice every time.
