Worked with Chris a bit for my family business, and he was always a pleasure to work with and talk to.

What an amazing house and wonderful people. Like sleeping in a museum and becoming part of another family. There are small cards everywhere in the house explaining the history of the place, so you can spend quite some time just enjoying it from the inside. Our breakfast was one of the best we've had in our two weeks in the States and during that we met more of the family running the house and they were just wonderful. Rome is also just a nice little town with quite some history that we did not expect since we were basically just passing through for one night. Fantastic experience.

So my girlfriend and I arrived to the Claremont House late after midnight for our check-in. Chris was amazing to give us an envelope stashed on the property with our keys and room information. The driveway onto the property was difficult for my car when it was loaded down with luggage - bottomed out check-in night and on our checkout day.nnThe property itself is absolutely beautiful. The outside is beautifully maintained and the inside of the house has been kept up very nicely. The accents in the house as well as the stairway are beautiful showing the age of this home. The rooms are absolutely amazing - very airy and welcoming. The only problem(that wasn't even a problem) in the room was that you could hear the occasional train or semi roll by at night.nnBreakfast was amazing. Chris catered to my specific diet and my girlfriend had different breakfast each day(she loved the pancakes). He had give us recommendations for places to visit and eat.nnAll in all, I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. It was a very welcoming stay and it was close to downtown Rome by 5 minutes.nnWe will be back!

Quaint Victorian 3 story house filled with antique furniture throughout. The woodwork throughout the house is quite incredible. The bed was very cozy and had plush bedding. Holly is very warm and engaged with her guests and provides a wonderful breakfast.

We stayed in the two-bedroom cottage at the Claremont House Bed & Breakfast with two of our best friends. The cottage was wonderfully quaint and delightful. The downstairs bedroom had a super comfortable King size bed. The upstairs bedroom had a lovely double bed. The shared bathroom was a good size for an older home. The cottage also had a full kitchen, which could be used to save money on eating out, though if you've never been to Rome, that might be hard to do.nnThe inn keepers and staff will give you lots of recommendations for great places to eat in historic downtown Rome.nnCards describing various aspects of main house and the furnishings are scattered around both floors. The highlight of the main house for us was the amazing bank vault in the main hallway. The current owners have filled the vault with board games for those looking for leisurely way to while away the hours.nnA+++
