Dune Cottages

Stayed here over the past weekend and was very disappointed. Mold and mildew through out unit. Dust everywhere, torned cushions with stains and dog hair everywhere. Bad oder. The parking is horrible. This place was just nasty.

We stayed in the Tide Suite room #2. Before we even arrived at the room we were contacted by management because the washer in our rental had to be replaced and they wanted to make us aware. They also informed us that they left extra beach towels (I'm assuming because we weren't able to wash any). The very next day they came to replace the washer and were very polite. When they arrived, my 2yo son was taking a nap and they made sure to be very quiet. They replaced the entire washer and dryer unit (about 10 feet from where my son was sleeping) without him waking at all! The maintenance manager was very friendly and informative. The rental was immaculate!! The pictures online were EXACTLY how the rental looked. The decor was subtle and beautiful, its was spacious and cozy, and everything was updated and well maintained. This was by far the best rental we've ever stayed in. Location was perfect. It had a private beach and it's not far from Ocien View Pier. I'd give it ten stars if I could and I definitely reccomend to others! I don't have a bad thing to say about the rental or the management team. Absolutely perfect place to stay!

Location, location, location. So close to the beach it takes 5 minutes to walk to the shore and forever to get rid of the sand. We spent a lot of time on the beach and never saw more that 4 other groups. Great for a family with up to two young children bc the water is shallow and the waves were calm. The condos are small but furniture was staged well enough so you don't feel cramped. All amenities were available as advertised. Private bathroom for each bedroom (one of the bathrooms has a tub and the other is shower only). Plenty of restaurants nearby and Harris Teeter within 10 min drive. Cons: NO dish washer, washer/dryer is old, sand everywhere, no ice maker on fridge, the WiFi was a little slow, no TVs in the bedrooms, and minor maintenance issues (loose faucets, missing switch on lamp, and hot/cold water was reversed).nnOverall I would recommend this to family of 4 or 2 couples.

I wish I could say more wonderful things about this place but however that is not the case. I've waited a month for the owners to contact me and havnt heard anything back. Our experience here was horrid. When we first arrived everything seemed great. But once we got settled it all went down hill. There are various splatters of spills all over the walls. The doors, trim and walk were very dirty. We tried making pizza and had no pizza cutter. The dryer didn't dry cloths. The people above us were so loud when they would walk. They were up all night slamming doors and we didn't get any sleep. The neighbors would go to their car to smoke weed and set off their car alarms all hours of the night. The trash people come at 5:30 am sometimes 6 am and it sounds like they are crashing through your building. What a wonderful wake up call. There is glass and razor blades all over the parking lot and even on the path to the beach. Very very dangerous when you have little ones with you. Parking is awful. You have to sit sideways on the toliet to even pee. The toliets constantly clogged. And to top it all off we lost power at 7 am on our last day there and it didn't come back on till 10 30 am. Check out if all. Imagine having to check out of place that has no power. We weren't even offered a later check out time after emailing the company letting then know we didn't have power. We tried finding somehwere else to stay and it was impossible or we would of left the first day. Never staying again.

Room was ok toilet can only be sat on sideways as it is touching the wall. Sand everywhere inside, dryer and washer had sand. Bed was good, pillows have almost no cushion.The setup is poor too, interior doors are very sloppily installed with over an inch gap all around. If the TV is on to a volume that you can hear it , it is just as loud in the bedrooms. No dishwasher, and there really needs to be a broom for sand. The table only has 3 chairs which is inconvenient if there are 4 people staying. Also only 3 seats in front of tv. Parking is awful , you have to back all the way out of the lot onto the main road, tried backing in but spaces are angled and the road behind them is barely car wide.
