Where to begin? I cannot say enough about this treasure! We had a gift certificate for stayva dot org and just wanted someplace nice to celebrate our anniversary. This was the perfect place! First, you will not find a better breakfast anywhere. We had a fresh, full plate every morning, and it was always enough to make us skip lunch! Mrs Blair took all diet restrictions with grace and creativity. Never have we been treated so fine. Second, we were greeted upon arrival with warmth and joy. They were discreet to not interfere with our privacy, but always available to share stories of the house or give the most expert advice & directions for the area. We felt like royalty. We sat on the front porch on wicker chairs originally part of the house, and watched the thunderstorm come through. It was so relaxing. The magnificent magnolia trees towering over the house are something to behold!Currently they are not accepting full-house reservations in order to allow space between guests so that people feel safe staying during Covid-19. I want to go back !

We stayed at the Magnolia House in March of 2020, just before the shutdown of the travel and hospitality industries. I must say, this was one of the best experiences I have had in my lifetime and we have had many wonderful travel/stay experiences. I am not accustomed to being taken care of so well as we were at the Magnolia House. Mr. and Mrs. Blair made our 20th Anniversary weekend so very special! Not only are they top notch Inn Keepers, they are simply amazing people. Their love and warmth radiate throughout their beautiful home. Mr. and Mrs. Blair inject much love into every piece of your stay. From the beautiful dinning experience to the soft lighting, the extensive library and courtesy umbrellas by the door. To the smooth jazz playing softly in the background and the special sweet treats by the drink area, every thing is well thought out. I felt like I was in a Hallmark movie. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the company of our magnificent hosts and very much look forward to returning in the near future.

Mr. & Mrs. Blair are a wonderful couple. They take pride in their bed & breakfast. Its a Wonderful place.VERY VERY CLEAN AND SMELLS SO GOOD. Breakfast was AMAZING both days I was there. My room was a suite very large I really felt like I was at home.nThe bed was a king size and very very comfortable. I slept like a baby.nWe had everything we needed there. They even offer you wine for a relax evening. I love that.nThey offer all different flavors of coffee and teas and soda can water. That is included in your price is well. As a guest I was able to attend a wedding ceremony therenIf you are going to the Hampton Roads area this is a place to stay at.nI will be back again. ❤❤❤

We had such a great time staying at the Magnolia House Inn. The location and setting were both perfect but what really put the experience over the top was the hospitality provided by the innkeepers. They cooked us a fresh breakfast in the morning and offered great advice on fun things to do. The house is beautiful and we hope to someday return.
