First time staying in a hotel in the Lake Tahoe region and definitely will not be the last. We had a pleasant experience during our stay. Clean, spacious rooms with a fantastic cabin feel. The kitchen was stocked with essential cookware and utensils, which made for a comfortable night in.

Great views, food was good except for the beans. We went on a Saturday night and I felt rushed in both service and some weird thing going on with our waiter and the hostess. She was a little hostile. Hot fresh chips and salsa. Great guacamole. Loved my rellenos and tacos I'd recommend it during week day evenings though, for $18-$20 plates I don't want to be rushed...

Socially distancing fun! I have no experience at Tahoe so take it for what it’s worth but it felt expensive for a very very small efficiency. Great heat though. Great hot water. The efficiency was decked out with enough stuff for us to eat our take out food. Due to covid, no eating food out anywhere in Tahoe. Fingers crossed for better days ahead.

I would have given it a 4 BUT the cleanliness of the room caused it to drop a couple of stars. The resort itself isn't bad. Sledding and Ski mountain is conveniently located in the resort, parking is close to the rooms, and our view of the mountain was nice too. But as soon as we, my husband and 2 small kids, entered our room, we were highly disappointed. Thermostat did not work. Carpet was obviously dusty. It was a no pet allowed room but we saw dry dog food on the floor near the nightstand. The white sheets were obviously dirty/used AND the blankets...oh my! It had a lot of hair!!!! Yuck!!!! The inside of the fridge also had hair, like why?!?!nSo, we immediately went to the lobby and asked for new sheets and blankets. I was able to disinfect the room, clean it a little. But why did we have to do all that? The rooms should have already been PROPERLY cleaned. We are paying customers and we deserve clean rooms!!! I didn't bother asking to relocate because we got there around 7 pm and at that point I just wanted to get food and settle in because my kids were hungry and tired. My husband and I just tried to do the best we could to make it bearable. Luckily, my boys enjoyed sledding and only that made the trip worth it.nnJust a thought, sledding should be free to hotel guests. The price of the room per night is pricey considering the rooms are small, outdated, and dirty.

Almost everything you want to do on a winter month are in Granlibakken. My experience with the staffs was great, they are considerate people and friendly people. Good food as well.
