Only 2 stalls in the men's bathroom for 190 camp sites, close to the main road, noise daily from fighter jets right over head and no trees at all and I would give it 6 stars if I could! Why?? It is walking distance from Mosaic Canyon which may be the most beautiful canyon on the planet. Also, the general store is well stocked with reasonable prices, hot showers and a restaurant across the street and centrally located for many other breathtaking canyon hikes near by.

Solid value campground---$14 for the night, and it was easy to find a space (arrived late at night in February). It's essentially a parking lot, so if you're tent camping then it won't be a very soft ground but perfect for car camping or RV life (I don't think there are hookups). Bathrooms with running water, potable water faucets, and a trough water area to clean dishes and brush teeth. No shower facilities, but the motel across the road (5 minute walk) will let you shower in their pool house for $5 per person, the pool house has towels and shampoo/conditioner/soap. Hotel staff were super friendly.

Basic dirt lot campground, a few sites with water and sewer hookups, but most sites are just a parking lot space. Flush toilets (3) and sinks (2) with running water (bring your own soap) and dumpsters available for trash. Decent camp store with fresh coffee, postcards, t-shirts, light provisions (snacks, beer, toiletries), and wood for sale. Showers across the street for $5.

The campground in Stovepipe Wells Village is a great stop when driving through Death Valley.nThe campground is located behind the general store.nnThe space is wide open so don’t expect any shade. the beauty of camping here? It provides you a great view of the stars in the night sky.nnThe campground provides plenty of hook ups for RVs. However, I did not see any area that was for tents only. It looks like the campers using tents only would be next to the campers in RVs? If so, it might get a bit loud from the generators running overnight?nnI did not have the opportunity to check out the restrooms on the campground. However the restrooms at the back of the general store were very clean on this Thursday evening in February 2021. See photo. Kudos to the operating team for maintaining those restrooms well.

As others have said, this is basically a big hard-packed gravel parking lot with lines painted. Reminded me of old school drive-in theaters. No tables or fire pits or plants or shade in the main section. Tent camping along the edge is better, in the dunes with tables and fire rings and some vegetation. Flush toilets and sinks. Showers available at the hotel pool across the street for $5. Restaurant, bar and general store adjacent. In my opinion, overpriced at $14/night for basically staying in a parking lot, but it's a national park, so they got you captive. Furnace creek is a nicer campground but it's smaller.
