The Retreat on Charleston Peak

Great scenery and even better prices! The room is small but the service and comfort level was great. I love that this is a pet friendly resort. Perfect for a laid back weekend away.

This a cute little place on the side of a mountain. It's very rustic and inviting. It needs some serious renovations and updating. But the restaurant was awesome! We tried the mozzarella cheese sticks and the tomahawk steak. Sooo good!!

My husband and I were completely blown away by how beautiful and intimate the resort was for our wedding. The scenery felt like it was something out of a movie. I know when we look back at our wedding photos it will all appear unreal.nnThe staff were incredibly kind and thoughtful during our 4 night stay. We also have Rosanna and Dawnette to accredit to the success of our wedding as without them I know either my Husband or I would have collapsed due to stress. Everyone there made our comfort and enjoyability their primary concern.nnI can without question say I would not change a single thing about our stay or wedding.nnWe were very happy with the rooms, and will definitely return as they appear to only be getting better as they were renovating other rooms during our stay.nnThank you Mount Charleston for hosting our wedding and family!

The rooms are fine (over priced but clean). I wouldn’t have left a bad review except for the restaurant. After skiing all day, we came back to the lodge for our 1730 dinner reservations. Over forty minutes later, we were finally acknowledged and seated. At that point, the buffet was no longer serving and we were told it would be another 45 minutes to order anything from the menu. Had the lodge had the courtesy to call and let us know the wait, we could have driven into town for supper but instead there was ZERO communication. For the price of the room, I expected much better and will absolutely not be giving the Charleston Lodge my business again.

We really enjoyed a weekend away. This resort is old and under renovations and might be really nice when done. Right now its quaint but a bit rough. Food was good and prices reasonable! If you are looking for rustic this will be perfect for you!
