El Portal Motel

Decent clean old motor inn. A little strange. Could definitely be a portal of some sort. This could easily be where you stumble into an episode of The Twilight Zone.....nSounds weird, but VFW is the best place in town to eat.

Clean, nice motel at the edge of the Death Valley NP. Everything worked, room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants and bars, right across the street from the town's museum. Good value for money.

Great place, simple and clean. The hosts were very helpful when we needed an extra night. They also let us leave a car while were were camping in DV for a couple of nights.nAn extra bonus - The VFW is within walking distance and it's a hidden gem for dinner.

No frills room...older, super clean, friendly staff, great location.nWonderful value. I'd stay again when passing through.

Basic lodging but clean and had everything we needed. Shower plumbing needs a little work but that just added to the character.
