I loved this hotel! The service of the check-in staff and valet were excellent, and the wine upon arrival was a lovely touch. They upgraded our room even though we booked and arrived on extremely short notice, and the 24 hour access to the rooftop pool/hot tub was icing on the cake; we really enjoyed getting a soak in after a very late dinner. The breakfast was nothing special, but the space itself easily earns the 5 stars.

Talk about a great location if you are a skier, the W is at the base of the lifts. For this reason alone it is a great place to stay. The W is trendy in a W sort-of way with a design where you walk into the bathroom counter as you enter. While I appreciate it is not a staid hotel of your parents, there was a form over substance challenge. The furniture was spartan, and the couch was most uncomfortable . Few people likely go to Aspen to work but if you do this would not be a good hotel for you. The staff were great and they did offer personalized attention which I appreciated.

We seemed to spend most of our time being annoyed at the incompetence of everyone here instead of enjoying our time. The best strand was when we ordered salad served in a warm plate with no dressing at all. and just your luck, You will completely be ignored by servers as well. No water. No silverware. No simple apology. All you could hear is the loud music from their kitchen and employees too busy talking to each other. This place is a joke. I have stayed at many W and this one is easy 0/5. Never again for the price tag they put on everything.

Awesome weekend. Such personal attention to detail...I was impressed. Thank you Seth, Liam, Sam, and everyone else at the W that really made our stay there special. The restaurant staff was great. Definitely going back.

The staff at the W was very friendly! They treated us respectfully and provided clean and safe rooms during COVID. They enforced the mask policy which allowed us to feel comfortable walking through the hotel.nnAdditionally, Even with the Gas being turned off throughout Aspen (due to weird accident) when we arrived, they provided us with space heaters and did their best to give us hot food.nnThe other benefit of staying at the W was that there was a Four Mountains Sports rental location which was super helpful in getting us our rental gear for our first ever Ski lesson.nnThank you to everyone at The W and Mike from the head of transportation who helped keep our Tesla safe from the snowy mess!
