Great small hotel in fantastic location for budget minded skiiers. Short walk to Aspen gondola, transit center for the other ski areas and town buses, and eateries. Establishment is not Aspen fancy, but very comfortable and run by people that work hard to give guests a good experience. The included breakfast is yummy and the sides very flexible. Coffee and cookies available 24x7. Rooms are small and adequate. Beds are comfy and clean. I was with a group of friends skiing, and I'll be back with the family too!
Mountain Chalet is charmingly retro. It has a hot tub, steam room and heated outdoor pool that are perfect for after skiing or hiking. All the rooms have outdoor entrances off of the pool, making it super Covid friendly. I loved staying there for Christmas and will definitely consider it for my next Aspen trip.
Fantastic experience. I was overwhelmed with the friendliness and how cozy this place is. A Tudor architectural chalet with its back facing the mountain and its front facing the town of Aspen, the whole location itself is poetic! The hotel has a historic emphasis but does not lack of convenience. It has an underground garage, a heated pool, dining room with different breakfast everyday, a game room with poker table, billiards, piano... you name it. We spend 2 days here and needless to say, it was pleasant.
The Chalet was great. The pool was heated and we spent time there day one. The location is great too. The prices were the best in all of Aspen. The breakfast is included, but was served to us, just like a restaurant...On the flipside - the place is dated- some of it gives it charm, but some just shows the age. Also, do not go with a big SUV like a Suburban in the parking lot underneath! It super tight. So, overall, despite parking size, I have to give it a top rating because of excellent location, the best pricing in Aspen and the great people that work there - from the receptionist, to the food servers, to the cleaning lady they are friendly and dedicated. We had a great getaway with the spouse, I hope you do as well.
Very nice service. Philip is the real GOAT. He was very nice during our stay and helped us with everything. They also have a nice pool and hot tub. Philip really helped us with setting up the fire place they had in the room. It was midnight and we called him and he helped us happily by bringing the woods and setting up the fire place.
