Great location as a base for summer/fall hiking at trails around Leadville. Great location for skiing at either Copper Mountain or Cooper. Huge, fully-stocked kitchen with commercial-grade stoves. Complimentary coffee (donations accepted). Huge dining room table. Living room to make you feel at home. Wonderful place to meet guests from all over the world. I have been here to hike in the summer and ski Copper in the winter. Only 23 miles from here to Copper. Guests are always friendly and considerate of 10 pm quiet hours. Kent, the property manager, was very kind, good at explaining the rules when we arrived and even built a fire for us in the downstairs family room wood-burning heat exchanger! We enjoyed chatting with Kent about his ski experiences. I highly recommend that you support this family-owned business!
My best description for those who have never tried a hostel before is mature dorm living. Everyone was respectful of one another and everyone cleaned up after themselves. The staff was fantastic and the living conditions were tidy and clean. Would highly recommend as I will be revisiting whenever I am in town!
Awesome place to stay with a friendly atmosphere! The kitchen amenities were truly impressive. Anything you could ever want or need to prepare meals of any kind. This is the perfect place to stay if you're in the area doing mountain climbing or skiing. I will definitely be back.
This place feels like home to me! I have been staying here most of this winter and have truly enjoyed my home away from home! I absolutely love the gas stove, air fryer, living rooms and beds. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly; and the booking process is seamless! Thanks!
Such a beautiful and great place with good price. We enjoyed to stay here for 10 days to snowboard at Copper Mountain. There was no issue at all. All staff including owner are so sweet, nice and helpful.nMost of all, the fireplace downstairs was so amazing. It was so cozy, beautiful, and warm.
