If you are looking for a great selection of bikes as well as stellar customer service provided by a friendly and knowledgeable staff then Skagit Cycle Center is the place for you. They were very helpful in finding me the perfect bike that fit my needs and budget.

I purchased a used road bike. A bike, I should have passed on. Bike did not shift correctly. I bought one of their tune up and clean up specials. It had been awhile since I had anything to do with a bike, so I wanted this bike tuned up, cleaned up etc. in working order. I got a call when it was ready for pickup. Over the phone, I asked the tech’s opinion on the bike. She said (Not the owner), that it was kind of old. I then asked her for recommendations. She suggested I get new chain. I did, from them and they installed it. When I picked it up, it looked like someone did a light cleaning on it with a damp cloth. It was a used bike, I was willing to pass on the cleaning part, even though I paid for it to be cleaned. I just wanted to ride. Got back to Freeland, rode it the next day, it did not shift any different than it did before I took it in for the tune-up. Parked in the garage and it’s just been collecting dust for the last two years now. Really disappointed. I had spoke with who I think was the owner or manager sometime before I took my bike in and really thought I had found a good local shop. If it was beyond being tuned up, freaking tell me, don’t just up sale me a freaking new chain. Two years later, went back to get new tires for another bike, they were out of stock but said they would call me the following Friday to let me know if they got them or not. It’s going on the third week, no call. So many good reviews for this shop, I don’t understand. Not sure if I would recommend them at this point or even do business with them anymore.nnUpdate -nnI think it's important and fair to say that I never contacted this business with my complaints. However, once they became aware of my complaints, they called me, and apologized and asked me to bring my bike back in.nnAs indicated in the first part of my review, this bike is a very cheap wallmart road bike. Additionally, the previous owner had made some repairs or changes that appear to me, were not, well not very good. I have learned a little bit more about current bicycle technology since purchasing this bike.nnI did give this business another chance. My cheap, old Wall Mart bicycle now shifts and rides surprisingly good. Very surprised how well it shifts through the rear gears, didn't think it was possible to make it shift that good without major upgrades.nnUpgrading this business from one star to three for now. Five stars for getting my bike up and running. I will do business with them again, and if service continues in positive manner, I hope to up grade them to five stars.

Stopped by with bike that wasn’t shifting well. She looked at it immediately, made some adjustments and sent me out for test drive. Needed a few more adjustments that she did and voila a fixed bike. Didn’t have to leave it for repairs As she was able to fix as I waited. Would highly recommend Skagit Cycle as knowledgeable, efficient and very reasonable!

Bought a used bike and brought it over to them to see if they can take a look a look at it. They did great job trued the wheels and indexed the gears a little. I also ended up buying a park tools chain cleaner the price was just about on par with Amazon. Great little shop and very helpful staff.
