Quick synopsis: We were threatened with violence by the guests next door and they were loud the whole night into the early morning. Management claimed that the police were called but there was no police report filed and we weren't notified that night. Management argued with me and downplayed my experience and as far as we were concerned, did not accommodate us in any appropriate way. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE.
We stayed one night at the Days Inn in Logan, UT. We had the absolute worst experience I've ever had staying at a hotel. The hotel guests next to us were being very loud. It was past midnight and they were not quieting down (playing music really loudly, yelling, playing instruments, laughing, etc.) We called the front desk and let them know. We were told they would address the situation and ask that they quiet down. Around 2:00 AM, we were woken up again by the same people continuing to be very noisy. My boyfriend lightly tapped on the wall as a "courtesy" reminder that people were trying to sleep next door. Soon after, a man showed up at our door threatening with violence and continued to pound on our door. We panicked and were immediately terrified. I was too scared to call the police because it wasn't our private property and I was scared that the people next door would find out, and after the police left, we wouldn't have any way to defend ourselves. We called the front desk assuming they would call the police and handle the situation. Three hours went by and nothing was done. We were watching out the window for over an hour and never saw any police come by or hotel staff addressing the situation. They continued to yell through the wall, "Go to sleep!" and we just sat in the room hoping the person next door didn't come back. I finally fell asleep around 5 AM when the noise went down. The next morning when we went to check out, the person at the front desk gave us the information for the manager and that was it. From there, I wanted to have our concerns about our stay be heard and understood from the manager. We had hoped we could find some sort of resolution to ensure that we felt like we were safe, being taken care and that we got the service that we paid for. The manager had no sympathy for our experience. She downplayed my experience after explaining it to her responding sarcastically with, "So you want us to pay...for one person causing a little bit of noise?" and continued to argue with me. She yelled at me over the phone about how WE handled the situation and insisted WE should have called the police. She continued to tell me that the police were in fact called and that the hotel did everything they could have done. There was no police report filed and as I said, we watched out of the window and never saw any police. To say that this was a bad experience is an UNDERSTATEMENT. There is no reason for a customer to feel unsafe. There is no reason for a manager to argue with a customer, especially when the customer was in fear of their life, and there is certainly no reason for belittling a customer and downplaying a customer experience.
Bed was comfy and the room was clean. Water never got hot enough to take a bath for a well needed soak. Even in the morning, the water was not hot enough for me to take a shower. Was pretty cold when I stepped out. Turn up the water heater please.
Clean, worth the price, and the staff are very kind. Also called us the night we got in to see if we needed anything. They brought us more clean towels.
Did the job. Beds and linens clean. I used disinfectant wipes to clean all of the light switches and door knobs. It was obvious the light switches hadn't been done recently. Beds were old feeling but the pillows were nice.
This place was friendly, separate outside entrances and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable, which doesn't happen for me often. It also was quiet even though there were people above and below me.
Will plan on staying here again if needed.
