Village Tavern Inn

I have been going to this restaurant for over two years. The service and the food have been good. My wife and I have always been generous tippers. The waitress kept telling us it was because of a big party order. Not true. Because I am a Vietnam combat veteran, I have issues. Being lied to is a trigger to me. I walked into the restaurant finally saw our waitress and asked for the check. She had our food in her hand. No thanks, check please. I went back to my seat. Then some guy comes out and starts saying I was going to buy your meal. All I want is my check. Your not getting a check. We got up and left. Will not return.

Nice dining experience, and food (especially escargot) was great! Servicing was prompt. Call ahead for reservation.

Great environment, excellent food, wonderful service, wide selection of local wines!!! A must for dinner in New York wine country!!

I have been eating here for alot of years. I was away for the last 2 years so i stopped in tonight for a quick light snack. I had the seafood chowder and I tell you it is amazing as always. I ended up getting a large container to go just to potentially share with friends but let's be real, I'm already finding excuses to justify saving for myself. To be completely honest I took the lid off just now as I'm writing this and ate some cold. No joke amazing to eat cold. Do yourself a favor and try this place you will not be disappointed!
