Finger Lakes Waterfall Resort

Owners are unbelievably rude and petty. If you are looking to view the waterfall across the street. Owner came out and yelled at us TWICE about coming near his private property. There was NO sign indicating where we were parked was private property. Nor was there a sign indicating not to walk there....if you are looking for a place to stay, I recommend a chain hotel. I'm sure you'd receive much better service.

Room was clean but tired. Bed was comfortable. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. They were doing renovations on the cabins so the grounds were not in optimal condition. Firepit and grill area were nice, but grass was overgrown and chairs were not clean. Views were wonderful and it was peaceful. I would stay again if I were in the area.

Pay attention, prospective visitors! We made a prepaid reservation in advance and paid above average rates. Upon arrival, we found the facility is past its prime, by many years. The room was very outdated, the mattress was damp and musty, the air-con made the room smell of cat urine. The stair railings are held together with bailing wire...literally. The property *could* be nice, but they’ve not bothered to keep up basic maintenance. The best I can say is that they *did* refund a portion of our prepayment. We went elsewhere and found a much better stay for about the same price.

Great view clean, needs updating. Seems like work in progress
