Martin was great and appropriately priced. We found a leak in our slate roof which Martin came out to look at and price. To our fault we didn't call him back and got hit with 4 massive snow storms so the leak could not get addressed due to the conditions. Martin was the one who followed up with us and got the leak fixed a day after the weather broke and conditions were safe to work in. He also replaced a few chipping / shaling slates and helped by caulking some flashing at our detached garage. Highly recommend.
Mark is professional, prompt and knowledgeable in slate roofing. trust worthy and highly recommended. Very happy with his repair job on my slate roof that got hit and damaged by a fallen tree from a storm.
I'm a former remodeler who very picky about how works on my house and have been looking for a qualified slate roofer for several years to repair some missing slates on my 90 year old roof, and could not have been more pleased with Mark's work.nnHe replied to my inquires promptly, showed up when he said he would, and even though the job ended up being more complicated that he first thought he stuck to his initial quote. When he discovered some additional damage that wasn't visible from the street, he pointed it out to me and gave me a very fair price for the additional work.nnCan't recommend Mark highly enough!
Highly recommend Mark for any slate roofing work. Patched up a few leaks for me last Fall with all new Vermont slate and roofing paper. Kept me informed throughout the process with photos of the damaged areas. Unfortunately, a leak developed again this Spring so Mark stopped by to take a look. He ended up replacing another section of slate at no charge. Who does that???
As the owner of a 134-year old house with an original slate roof, finding someone who knows how to make repairs right, I've discovered, is quite difficult. Mark is the man no question. Besides knowing his craft exceeding well and taking the time to do it right, he is a great guy, very personable, and very responsive. The fact that he was willing to drive all the way to Staten Island from Long Island to work on my house made me all the more appreciative. I can't recommend him highly enough!
