Location was ideal. Paring was good. Hotel needs some updating. We were given a full size bed when we booked a queen bed, wss told by front desk that a full bed is considered a queen bed in hotel standard. Never heard that before or even seen that. I responded that a queen bed should be a queen bed where ever you go. There was a compromise offered so definitely not going back for that price $134. For one night with a full bednLost of small flies were flying around the room even tho there weren't any fruits in the room.. Cleaning also could have been better. We wipe down all the surfaces and they were dirt on the wipes we used... Morning receptionist definitely wasn't pleasant. The guy who did the later shift and checked us in was definitely more pleasant..nAside from centrally located wasn't anyplace to write home about..

We booked two rooms, 108 and 110. Both rooms had severe water stains on the ceilings. Room 110 the door handle was coming off and room 108 the strike plate was missing from the door. Room 110 had the previous guests stuff still in the fridge (gatoraide, butter and water). Both rooms had rappers and debris under the beds. The parking lot is not controlled, due to the hotel being so close to town, many parking spots are taken up by non-guests of the hotel. I drove around for half an hour waiting for a parking space to open up. Eventually my wife went inside and the hotel front desk hand offered to move his car so I could park.nMy overall impression is that this hotel is owned by a slumlord or someone who doesn't really care about the staff or the hotels reputation. Severe deferred maintenance is rampant throughout the building and grounds. I'm guessing the owner either doesn't understand how to run a hotel or doesn't want to pay a real manager to manage it.nI've stayed several places in Lake Placid over the years. This hotel by far was the worst. It's sad because this hotel has so much potential. The bones of the structure are good and the location is great. The staff while they were nice, seemed underpaid and unappreciated.

My room was nice. Very nice large shower head. Shampoo conditioner and body wash in the shower we're great, the shampoo left my hair feeling very soft. It is within a 5-minute walk too many bars/ restaurants / attractions. I was in the area hiking a few of the high peaks, couldn't have asked for a better stay.

This hotel is very overpriced for what you get. The room was dirty, stepped in dirt walking in and I also stepped in something sticky on the bathroom floor. Speaking of the bathroom, the bathtub had hair in it as did the sink. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. One of the lamps in the bedroom wasnt even plugged in or even near an outlet. Same with the coffee maker. That being said, the man who checked us in was very friendly and polite and the location of the hotel is the best thing about it. The hotel is just a few minutes from the main road and makes is easy to explore the little town. After everything, I would not recommend this place, there are other hotels in the area to check out.

$225 with a 10% AAA discount for a two queen room (cheapest they had). Very expensive for what it is.nnClean room. Very basic. Walls and ceilings were cracked and stained in halls and room.nnI'd recommend a motel outside of town. The only extra you'd get from here is a nice view of lake (if you pay for it) and a decent covid-to-go breakfast spread.
