The New Lantern Motel

Hands down BEST motel in the area! My husband & I come to this area 3x a year, and always stay here. It is one of the cleanest, comfortable & friendliest hotel. The owner, Jeff is always warm & welcoming. He goes out of his way to make us feel like VIP's each and every time. These reasons and more, are why we recommend that you stay here. You wont be disappointed.

When I was looking for a place to stay overnight I looked at all the name brand hotels the wanted more than I could afford. I found this little quaint motel. When I arrived I was very excited to see that this motel was very well maintained. The staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were absolutely stunning. Nice, cozy clean and cheap. Road noise and fairly loud floors but not much to do about that.

The room smelled of smoke for a place that you cant smoke in the rooms. The rooms are very small for such a high price. the owner when asked about whether or not my service dog would be allowed have me nothing but an attitude. They rarely answer when new people are trying to check in. I watched 13+ people attempt to check in while the owner was on vacation and the staff never answered the door. They are extremely rude and I wouldn't recommend this place neither would the 7 friends I made while there theh all left as well due to the drama that was at this place. I stayed in my room most of the time, they had the cops there a few times due to some escalations that had occurred. If you want a peaceful stay I recommend anywhere but here

Very pleasant room: clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would choose this above any other motel or hotel in Olean or Allegany. We slept soundly.
