This place is conveniently located near tons of great hiking! It's also close to great shops and restaurants in nearby Littleton. There seems to be only positive reviews, so when I saw the great price, I booked immediately. We brought our dog so we stayed in the annex. Not sure if that's where the discrepancy lies, but it was not all rainbows and unicorns there. The lamp had no light bulb, the window wouldn't open, the shower curtain had that pink slimy bacteria stain all over the bottom, there were balls of fur in several places on the carpet, and it smelled like a kennel. The room had definitely been cleaned because there were vacuum marks on the rug and the bed linens were clean, but either the vacuum needs to be replaced or the rug has to go. Maybe both. Bleach the inner fabric shower curtains! Put a bulb in the light. Ehh, the window not working wouldn't normally be a deal breaker, but we had to sleep with the porch door open due to the smell! Outside between the fire pit and annex was a bunch of junk, which was kind of an eye sore. The quaint New England charm you see in the photos isn't what the annex looked like. I feel terrible leaving a bad review, but I feel like people should know that if you bring a pet, you'll be in the annex and it's very outdated and needs a really deep clean. That said, the little river was the saving grace for this place! Having that wonderful view and delightful sound lull you to sleep made this an okay stay. Also, the staff we interacted with were very nice.

We had an enjoyable meal on the patio overlooking the river. The food was fabulous and service was great! We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful B and B. Loved the fact we were able to have dinner and breakfast right there at the Inn.
