I love the lake
Clean basic motel and cabins on Lake Winnepesaukee. Great location for discovering a beautiful area of New Hampshire.
Nice setup. Covers all the basic needs. Well situated to favorite hiking paths. Access to lake from property. Dogs welcomed and alllowed to swim
I'm not sure who paid the people here who gave this place 5 stars. Something fishy. I think I'm being generous giving them 3 stars.nnWe stayed in one of the motel units. The good news: Fairly clean and freshly painted, micro-kitchenette so we could prepare our own breakfasts.nnNow the bad news: Not very well kept up. Teeny tiny bathroom. Both the shower and kitchen faucets dripped. The little box AC unit made a racket so couldn't be used while sleeping, The fire extinguisher was discharged. Every door squeaked. The windows hadn't been washed in years. The curtain was falling out of its track. Parking required maneuvering to get in or out.nnMy recommendation is to pay more and stay somewhere else.
This place is simply wonderful. It resides in the quiet Winnipesaukee bay of Center Harbor. Surrounded by mountains it allows for a nice, quiet, peaceful stay. There is a boat dock, waterfront fireplace, outdoor ping pong table, sandy beach, nice green grass and the best owner/hosts you could ask for. They are the best. My family has been going annually for many years. Many other families there do the same. I can't say enough good things about this place!
