My family has vacationed here for many years. My dad started coming up in the 1950's. Most cabins have been updated, are spacious, and many are well- equipped. Great swimming and fishing.
I’m pretty sure I speak for the entirety of my family when I say we would do anything to get another year here. Miss the resort and miss the people!
We stayed at the resort last summer and were so impressed with the property- the lake, cabins, amenities are all top notch. Cabins are very clean. The staff and the fellow guests really made our week enjoyable. Pelican Lake is very peaceful and the beach is a perfect place to relax. We really enjoyed fishing and swimming too. There is so much to do and we will definitely be going back with the whole family.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Richardson's Shangri La sits in a beautiful bay on Pelican Lake with some of the most scenic views on the lake. The ownership are some of the greatest people to walk this Earth. They go out of their way to make your visit to their resort amazing and memorable. I have stayed at this resort close to a dozen times. I have considered staying at other resorts while on vacation in Minnesota, but being treated like family when your 2000+ miles from where you call home, is something I cant put a value on. See for yourself, this place is amazing.
Have gone here for almost 45 yrs .Family run and the features still improve. A wonderful resort.
