The venue was amazing. We had the perfect wedding here and it truly was just because of the venue itself not the staff/owners. The wedding party had to set up all the chairs, and our guests/wedding party had to take them down which when we toured the place they had told us the grounds keepers set them up that morning where you want them and then take them down. We got a phone call the Thursday before our wedding and was told we had to set them up and couldn’t be there until 11:00 to set them up when our pictures started at 12:00. We also had to set up our sound system, which we knew we had to do, but we were told they had electricity in all arches. We get there to set it up.. no electricity. Thank god we had an electrician with us to help. The owners and staff were no help. Not to mention doing ground work (blowing leaves around) in the middle of our pictures. So if you want to do all the work with setting up chairs, getting electricity to work, taking down chairs and putting them away, this is the perfect venue for you! Thankfully we are from here and had friends that were willing to help with it all. The venue was absolutely perfect, the staff and owners were not.

Beautiful venue, both the buildings and the grounds, great staff to work with, and it was a pleasure to be a DJ for a wedding there.

The Berwood Hill Inn is a beautiful family run bed and breakfast. My wife and I got married here in 2004 and have been coming back every year. We always love the calm country atmosphere and friendly staff. It gives us the chance to unwind and just be.nThe breakfast is always super nice with three courses. We always leave feeling very pampered.nThe house is eclectic and fun with lots of cool nick-nacks to look at and ponder. Also the gardens are amazing you can just spend the evening walking through the gardens and enjoying the sun set.nI highly recommend a stay.

Even though we only stayed for a night, this place is amazing enough to come back and stay for more nights. It's very quiet and is nice for anyone who wants to get away from the loud and busy city. The area is also picturesque and has plenty to offer if you're looking for something to do. We checked in early and then went to a local vineyard where we had a great lunch. Then we visited downtown Lanesboro to check out the local history, and there's plenty to do in this little town.nnWe stayed in April thinking it would be a good time to see some spring flora, but I guess we were too early for that. It didn't affect the enjoyment, though. The hostess was also really friendly and cooked us some snacks for dinner as we sat outside in their gardens and went through some bottles of wine. Breakfast was amazing. All fresh and cooked from scratch.

I have stayed at Berwood several times and have never had a bad experience. The grounds are beautiful and it is quiet and peaceful. It is in the country centrally located between Lanesboro and Preston...still close to town to quickly hop on the bike trail or take part in some water activities. The house is charming and warm and extremely well decorated.
